Parliment

This term we have been learning about Parliament. We have looked at the difference between government and parliament, NZ parliament, who is in government, how our government works and we compared democracy to dictatorship.

Three things that I learned are NZ parliament are:

• the prime minister sits in the fourth seat on the right
• parliament and Government have different role
• there are more of the "national" party cause they got the most votes

Te Reo, Term 4 2016.

This term we have been learning all about the Marae. We have learned that…….

• The Marae is an important focal point for the community.
• The Marea is a place where tradition and customs can be carried out.
• The Marae is a place where people can express their values with dignity.
• There are many kawa ( protocols) that prevail on the marae.
• Marae kawa (protocols) can differ between marae's and iwi.

We have focussed on some key concepts when doing this learning.

These are listed and explained in the table below.

Yesterday we went to technology. We had to finish sanding our trays/trays and start assembling them. While I was there I showed the leadership value of respect by using my manners when i need help.

In this project we decided that our success criteria were:  

A good Children’s Story needs...	Why is this important?
It needs to be easy to read	So little kids can understand it
It needs to have colorful pictures	To keep little kids entertained
It needs to be short	Otherwise little kids are going to get bored
It needs to have characters	Little kids like characters

Overall our project met this criteria because It had 3/4 of these things
